Nominated thrice for Grammy Awards, Joe Edward Nichols is the world-renowned American country vocalist and lyricist. He is one of the major expounders in the field of Neotraditionalist Country style music as well. Starting his musical career at an early age of twenty, today he is one of the most famous names in the chart of the country musicians and singers of America.

A little background study into the personal life of this talented artist will come up with the interesting aspect that, may be the seed of inspiration was always there in his family. Joe’s father himself was the bass guitar player in a country band of local acclaim. Joe started his musical career as a disk jockey of country music. Before that, he was already working in a local Rock band.

The worldwide fame that Joe Nichols is entitled to at present has come to him through a long way of striving and patience. Working with Randy Edwards, while improving his musical skills, in 1996, he released his first album, “Joe Nichols” under the Intrasound Records production. The result was a short success of the lead single, “ Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other” and his eventual loss of contract with Intrasound. His second deal of record was with the big banner Warner Bros. Record that also could not earn him much recognition.

After a wait of long three years, Joe signed a contract with the Universal South Records, in 1999, with the help of Brent Rowan. It was the year 2002, that finally the wheel of fame turned his way when he released his album, “Man with a Memory” which later won platinum certification in the U.S. The hit single of this album, “The Impossible” charted to be the number 10 country song of the year 2003, in Billboard which was most requested and played. In the light of this success, his debut album was also renamed by the title of the hit single, “Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other”.

This new beginning led Joe to win the prestigious award of Top New Male Vocalist, given by the Academy of Country Music. This platinum album has another hit single, “Brokenheartsville” which topped the Billboard Country Charts in the year 2003. “Man with a Memory” has some other hits as well, each earning fame for Joe Nichols.

In the subsequent years, Joe released many other albums and each of them added fresh breath and dimensions in the field of the neotraditionalist country music as well as to his career. While on tour with Alan Jackson, Nichols released under the same production house, “Revelation” in 2004, which produced hits like, “If Nobody Believed in You” and “ What’s a Guy Gotta Do”. “A Traditional Christmas” was also released in the same year.

“Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fal Off” from “III” is Joe’s another claim to fame. This lead single became Joe’s second Billboard top number. All through the years 2005 and 2006, Joe became a famous name and personality like Anna Nocole Smith, became his fan. Nichols also spend time in touring with Toby Keith, another famous American country musician.

After the path breaking success of Joe’s fourth studio album, “Real Things” is the next one of the same line, released in 2007. This album has also produced some smashing hits to the expectation of his innumerable fans worldwide while Joe is leading his way to many other hits and grand achievements in the time to come.
